Afinion 2 is Abbott’s Point of Care system which, thanks to its compact size and test panel, is the ideal solution for Point of Care testing in medical practices, clinical facilities, outpatient clinics, care homes, emergency departments and hospital outpatient clinics. From a simple sample taken via fingerstick, the system can provide results for CRP, HbA1c, ACR and lipid panel during the visit itself, with accuracy comparable to that of a laboratory.

Simple, Reliable and Safe! The Afinion™ test cartridge is unique to each analyte being measured, and the reagent composition, reagent volumes and integrated devices are specific to each test. The test cartridge label has a colour unique to that test. Cartridges are individually packaged in foil pouches to protect the reagents and plastic devices from light, dust and moisture. A single cartridge contains all the reagents needed for one test and is ready to use. An integrated sampling device is used to collect the patient or control sample. The test cartridge cannot be reused.
