Afinion 2 is Abbott’s Point of Care system which, thanks to its compact size and test panel, is the ideal solution for Point of Care testing in GP surgeries, clinical facilities, outpatient clinics, care homes, A&E departments and hospital outpatient departments. From a simple fingerstick sample, the system delivers CRP, HbA1c, ACR and lipid panel results during the consultation itself, with accuracy comparable to that of a laboratory.

Simple, reliable and safe. Each Afinion™ test cartridge is specific to the analyte being measured, with reagent composition, reagent volumes and integrated components tailored to that particular test. Every cartridge is colour-coded by test type and individually foil-packaged to protect the reagents and plastic components from light, dust and moisture. A single, ready-to-use cartridge contains all the reagents needed for one test, with an integrated sampling device for collecting the patient or control sample. Cartridges are single-use and cannot be reused.
