Every aspect of Lyra is original — from the initial concept to the choice of shape and materials — always designed to replicate physiological support using the latest technology, with the aim of preventing the well-known complications associated with transvaginal repair systems currently on the market.

Lyra also uses synthetic meshes which, while clinically effective, have been shown — as reported by Cochrane and the FDA — to carry reliability and safety concerns, due to relatively common complications such as erosion, rejection and pelvic pain. These are often linked to unsuitable materials or to surgical techniques using suboptimal anchoring systems. Lyra SRS Implant overcomes these limitations.

Lyra SRS Implant comprises two components: a titanised surgical mesh from the Tiloop® extra-light range, weighing just 16 g/m², and a solid yet flexible frame, known as the Frame. The Frame is made from medical-grade PEEK plastic and consists of two solid lateral arms connected by an elastic bridge. Lyra SRS Implant is inserted via a vaginal approach using standard surgical instruments.
